NEW TRACK BIKE!

The Frame is a Walter Croll Track Frame - custom and hand made,be fore the company changed hands and went downhill. It's made of Reynolds 531 competition steel, and is fully lugged with the exception of where the rear seat-stays meet the seat tube, which is fillet brazed (as you can see below).

- Suntour SuperbePro Track Hubs laced to a Campagnolo Ypsilon rear and Mavic deep v front.
- Campagnolo Record Track Cranks w/ a 45T fyxamotosis chain ring, i also have the 49T Campagnolo ring that came with the cranks.
- PhilWood Bottom Bracket
- Cinelli quill stem w/ Nitto B125 drops, not sure if I like these yet, might switch out for the B123 i have, but those might be even worse. I'll probably end up getting some bullhorns, maybe risers.
I'll out some grips or bartape on there once I figure out with ones i'll keep.
And I have to get some new pedals, clips and straps. Looking at the MKS GR-9 or Sylvan , i would love some toshi strap, might get them if i find a good deal.

More about the frame:

Walter Croll. Hand built in Minneapolis/St. Paul in the mid 90s. All Reynolds Competition 531 tubing. Sweet lug work, cutouts on the seatstays bridge lugs and fork lugs. The paint is so layered and deep that when the sun hits it just right it's amazing.

The craftsmen at Croll know that it's not just aesthetics and fit that make a bike great; it's also the care taken in the construction. Attention to detail and meticulous workmanship take time and effort, but the finished product reflects the skill of its makers. Each Croll is hand-built, hand-sanded, hand-filed, undergoes at least eight alignment checks, and receives between fourteen and eighteen coats of paint. Whether a Road, Mountain, Cyclocross or Track frame, each is built with Reynolds steel for resiliency and strength. By the time your Croll frame has gotten to you, the people at Croll have gotten as much out of it as you are about to.
