Eddy Merckx CX

New cross bike added to the collection.
It actually a pretty fun bike, much different then anything I have ridden in a while. It is basically a MTB build set. 3x9, trigger shifters, flat bar, v-brakes, etc...
Will get drops and brifters when I get some money. Also will have to get some canti brakes unless I go with a travel agent(probably not though, don't really like these) for the v-brakes and change the cranks to a double, probably a 42x34 or go with a single ring up front and possibly save money by buying one brifter. The cassette has a rather big sprocket which is a good thing. It will probably be a while before this is properly set up, I'm a little low on fund right now. Might have to go with a single ring, will def be the cheapest way to make this a cross racer, either a 39 or 42. Will want an n-gear jumpstop or something similar to prevent deraillment; maybe a bash guard, too, use one of these(good, cheap, light bashguards that are perfect for cross) might just make one from cutting down an old larger chainring. or just use the front derailleur as a chainkeeper, but that defeats the purpose of a single ring. But with that cassette should have plenty of gear range.
