Time's Up!

I found a really cool organization called "Time's Up!" its a New York City based not-for-profit direct-action environmental group that uses events and educational programs to promote a more sustainable, less toxic city. They have two locations one on the Manhattan side of the Williamsburg bridge and one on the Brooklyn side. They have a bike workshop every Tuesday at the Manhattan location and on Sundays at the Brooklyn location. The workshops are classes held to teach bikers how to fix and maintain their bikes. I went to one on Sunday at the Brooklyn space that was about gears and breaks, it was vary informative.

TIMES UP!

Time's Up also has Fix Your Bike Workshops, where you can bring your bike and their mechanics help you maintain and fix your bike. You can use their tools, and get parts that you need from them as well.
